First Medical University In Ukraine to Implement BOLOGNA Process


The Kyiv Medical University of UAFM is the oldest Medical University in Europe. It is located at the Kyiv in Ukraine. It is ranked no. 1 university in Ukraine by UNESCO as top medical university. This university is first university to implement BOLOGNA Process. It is one of the universities that is recognized by all the major bodies like WHO/GMC/MCI/ECFMG etc.

KMU of UFAM has been recognized as the leading higher medical school over the last 23 years according to the state licensed examination STEP-M, STEP-1, STEP-2 and STEP-3. The University is particularly proud of its highly qualified academic staff, which has 12 faculties, 7 academic buildings, 78 departments, 30 divisions, and 120 accredited hospitals. This university offer international diploma supplement along with traditional Ukrainian certificate. Every year has come over 200 patents on inventions every year.

KMU is continuously achieving its goal to attract more international students to study at the University and, therefore, creating the international atmosphere within the school. This year we have started the student’s admission campaign early. More than 20 students from various countries are already in Ukraine and learning medical Russian terminology even through the language of instructions for them will be English.

At this time the University comprises 61 departments, a medical school, a medical/biological lyceum, research/science and backing divisions, several laboratories, a post-graduation department.
